Chrysanthemum: The November Birth Flower

The chrysanthemum is the November birth flower. The chrysanthemum was first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. Chrysanthemums made their way to Japan in the 8th century AD, and then to Europe in the 17th century. The name "chrysanthemum" comes from the Greek words for "gold" and "flower".
