Birthday Flower Delivery in Fort Lauderdale: How to Get It Right
Written by DGM Flowers Co.
Birthdays are one of the most common reasons people send flowers, and they’re among our most popular studio orders. If you’re sending birthday flowers in Fort Lauderdale, here’s the short version: pick something bright that fits how they live, order before 2 PM on a weekday for same-day delivery, and give us an address our driver can actually get into.
We’re DGM Flowers Co., an independent Fort Lauderdale florist. Every birthday arrangement is designed by our own team and hand-delivered around Greater Fort Lauderdale. It isn’t passed to a wire service or a shop in another city.
What to send for a birthday
There’s no wrong answer, but a few things make a birthday arrangement feel right.
Go bright. Birthdays are a celebration, so color works. Hot pinks, oranges, yellows and purples read as “happy birthday” from across the room in a way that all-white arrangements don’t.
Think about where it will sit. A vase arrangement is easiest for someone at home or at their desk. It arrives ready to display, with nothing to unwrap or trim.
Match the size to the moment. A coworker’s birthday and a milestone like a 50th aren’t the same gift. Most of our designs come in Standard, Deluxe and Premium sizes, so you can pick the arrangement you like and then choose how full it should be.
Two birthday favorites from our studio
Bowl of Joy by DGM Flowers, from $59.95. A classic glass bubble bowl overflowing with bright blooms. It’s one of our most popular arrangements, and it works for nearly any age. Deluxe is $69.95 and Premium is $79.95.
Birthday Bliss Bouquet, from $54.94. A cheerful mix of roses, carnations, alstroemeria, delphinium and asters. Deluxe is $64.95 and Premium is $74.95.
You’ll find more options in our birthday flowers collection.
Same-day birthday delivery in Fort Lauderdale
Forgot until this morning? It happens. Order before 2 PM, Monday through Friday, and we can deliver the same day. Orders after 2 PM go out on the next delivery day. For a Saturday birthday, order by Friday, because we don’t take same-day orders on Saturday.
Most home deliveries are done by 4 PM, though we can’t promise an exact time. Office deliveries arrive by 5 PM when you order by 2 PM. Our same-day delivery guide has the full details.
Three details that make a birthday delivery go smoothly
Condos and high-rises: add the building name, the unit number and whether the front desk can sign.
Surprises at work: include the company name and floor or suite. If it needs to arrive before they leave, say so in the delivery notes. We read them.
Nobody home: tell us a shaded spot to leave it. In South Florida heat, a covered patio beats a sunny front step.
We deliver across Fort Lauderdale and nearby cities like Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Plantation and Lauderhill. The full list is on our delivery area page.
A small extra that gets a smile
Add a Birthday Balloon (small, $3.95) or a Happy Birthday Pick ($5.00) at checkout. Both sit right in the arrangement, so the “happy birthday” is clear before they read the card. And write the card yourself. A line about a shared memory means more than a long quote.
Keep the flowers looking good
Fresh water and a cool spot out of direct sun make the biggest difference. Top up with fresh water daily, recut stems at an angle every couple of days, and keep it away from AC vents, direct sun and the fruit bowl (ripening fruit makes flowers fade faster). Our flower care guide covers the rest.
